My inspiration for this piece is my favorite pokemon, glaceon and my desire to create something that looks kind of feline.
First I created the base with a cylinder then made the head which is hollow and attached it the cylindrical base. I cut out eyes a small nose and a small mouth and added the feet. I made some parts thicker and some parts thinner like around the neck to make it look more feline. I attached the ears and put coils around them so they would be more secure and the triangle looking thing on its head also helped to make the ears more secure. I spent a lot of time smoothing everything out and defining key parts so you could clearly tell what everything is supposed to be.
My inspiration for this piece is the character lapis lazuli. I wanted to capture the feeling brought by her personal character, her gemstone, and her powers. I wanted to give it an over all lonely feel.
I created this piece by first painting the ocean, sky, and moon, then painting in the girl. after that i added the stars, worked on blending the colors better and making the piece neater, adding the glow around the silhouette and the moon, and the line that separates the ocean and the sky.
My inspiration for this piece was the fictional town of Beach City, the setting of Steven Universe.
I created the piece by mapping out the base of the buildings, then adding details, then coloring while trying to keep everything in perspective.
I chose worry because I am familiar with it and it can be an emotion that is ignored.
I created the piece by mapping it out and then laying down value using the vine charcoal, adding in my highlights and then adding definition and the darkest values by using the charcoal pencil.
I was inspired by a sculpture I saw of a geisha and a hairstyle I saw online. I wanted to take a different approach and use non traditional colors together to make it bright and vibrant.
First I sketched out my subject matter and then began laying down the base colors, leaving the highlights white. I layered different colors together and blended them to create value. I made the background green because her eyes are green and I wanted to make them stand out.
This piece was inspired by my desire to draw a woman and I wanted to incorporate lily flowers in because my name is Lily.
I started by mapping in pencil and then adding watercolor in the background and on the lily flowers. Then over that I used the pen and ink to outline and add values. I used different pen techniques such as hatching and crosshatching.
This piece was inspired by my love for cats. It was also inspired by a picture I found online. I also really enjoy the shape of a cats body so I wanted to capture that.
First I found a reference picture because I did not feel I could accurately create glass without a reference. I started by mapping lightly and then putting down the white areas first, then the color and the gray areas. I went over most areas several times so no black showed through where it wasn't supposed to.
This piece was inspired by Akemi Homura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I wanted to include her manipulation of time in the composition of the piece.
I started by mapping out the subject matter and the objects around her. I colored with the watercolor and then made the space background. I used white gouache for the stars and the highlights and black sharpie for definition.
